Former thermometer on advertising glass from the Prisma Peinture boutique (1930s/1940s/1950s) located at 46 rue Curial in Paris

There was a time when the walls of 46 rue Curial in Paris housed a shop selling everything related to painting. It was Prisma Peinture, in the 19th arrondissement of Paris. There we found brands like Ripolin, Georget (now Valspar) or Corona among others.

This advertising ice thermometer is in very good condition. The cover on the mercury bag is rusty.

It works perfectly and there are no air bubbles in the mercury.
