Old French colonial helmet model 1931.

This helmet dates from the 1950s and is in good condition.

The fabric band that was around the helmet, just above the visor, is missing.

The plastic piping going all the way around the edge has 3 small cuts (one in the front, one in the back and one on the side).

You can see all the flaws in the many photos.

This model of helmet was used by the colonial gendarmerie in the 1950s, but there is nothing to confirm that it belonged to a gendarme since it does not have any insignia. It may have been worn by a soldier...

The interior fabric is in good condition.

The strap is in very good condition.

The whole remains in good general condition.
