Old small wooden advertising chest Amidon Royal from Riz Rémy & Cie.

Rice starch was used for ironing laundry and the Rémy brand was founded in 1855 by Edouard Rémy in Belgium.

The factory was in Gaillon in Eure.

This small wooden chest dates from the late 1800s/early 1900s.

The box is in fairly good condition.

This small chest has signs of handling as well as signs of wear. There are also stains on the top of the lid.

This little chest seems to have received a coat (of varnish?) in the past which has slightly discolored the wood.

The brand's advertising poster is stuck in the lid of the box and it is in good condition, see the photo.

I invite you to consult the different photos in order to best appreciate the condition of this little chest.

This box remains a magnificent authentic decorative advertising item.

Length: approx. 35 cm.

Width: approximately 27 cm.

Height: approximately 16.5 cm.

It must be taken into account that this small chest has stood the test of time and is by no means in new condition. We try to describe imperfections as best as possible, but we may have forgotten to note some minor flaws. This would absolutely not be intentional on our part. We therefore invite you to consult the numerous photos available which complete the description. This little box has a history and all the defects are part of its history. For a flawless object, we invite you to turn to new or more modern objects.
