Old Geslot & Voreux advertising box Souvenir of the Colonial Exhibition of 1931

The little Flanders shortbread cookies from the Geslot & Voreux biscuit factory which made up this box must have been enjoyed with relish and without restraint. All we have left today is this box, specially produced for the 1931 Colonial Exhibition.

The lithographed sheet metal box itself has withstood the many years that have passed, minus the drawing which has suffered the ravages of too many handlings.

The Geslot & Voreux biscuit factory disappeared in the 1970s after numerous takeovers.
