Old wooden bird cage from the mid-20th century

Gone are the days when bird markets flourished in the four corners of France. It was commonplace to have a pair of birds in French or Belgian homes until the 1980s.

This old wooden cage from the 1960s will fit perfectly into a retro decoration.

The bottom of the cage is zinc and removable. It is not pierced.

There are two sliding openings at the top, one in front and one on the side.

There is a mechanism on the front to accommodate a drinker.

There is a small metal handle.

There is a large wooden feeder on the side of the cage on which a glass plate should fit, but the latter is missing.

There should have been long glass plates at the bottom of 3 sides to prevent seeds from being projected, but they are missing. It will be very easy to put them back on if desired, the hooks allowing them to be held in place are still present.

The interior comes with a small plastic feeder.

The whole is in very good condition.

No structural weakness.

There is a bar that is crooked but can be straightened without problem.

There is just a small, minor break in the wood located at the bottom of the sliding door on the front of the cage.
