Old enameled advertising plaque Mutuelle Générale Française Vie (MGF Vie)
Before officially becoming the Mutuelles du Mans group in 1969, this insurance company was made up of 3 distinct entities: MGFA (Mutuelle Générale Française Accidents), MGF Vie and Mutuelle du Mans Incendie.
This enameled plaque is part of the history of one of the 3 largest French insurance groups.
Manufactured by the Alsacienne Enamelrie Strasbourg Hœnheim (guarantee of manufacturing quality), this plate is in very good condition. Note a very small chip of enamel located just before the "V" of "Life" visible in the photos.
Plate almost impossible to find with this manufacturer's name, it is most often found manufactured by Email Japy.
This MGF VIE plate is less common than its little sister from the MGFA.
It dates from the 1950s/1960s.
The back was painted with facade paint and this paint is found on the edges of the plate.
