Gone are the days when bird markets flourished in the four corners of France. It was commonplace to have a pair of birds in French or Belgian homes until the 1980s.
This old wooden cage from the 1940s will fit perfectly into a retro decoration.
The bottom of the cage is pierced and rusty but a new zinc plate can give it a facelift if you do not wish to preserve its authenticity.
The few worm holes in the wood add a certain charm to the cage.
The interior is made up of 3 vintage nests, 2 perches and a swing.
Apart from the bottom of the cage, the whole is in good condition.
