Writing with a quill caused ink bleeds and the blotter was essential to blur them. This pad was therefore present on all desks and an interchangeable sheet of blotting paper was placed there.

The 2 stamps are in good condition. One is made of wood, the other covered in imitation.

Several blotting sheets are already attached to the pads.
